325/365:2010 Collared

325/365:2010 Collared

My full (Roman) collar, which I rarely wear. I much prefer the wee slip-in collar rather than this one, which once it's on, it's on for the day!

321/365:2010 Fellowship Group

Tonight at Fellowship Group I was tasked to take some photos for inclusion in our Christmas parish magazine, and here's what the finished article looked like. We have five groups of varying sizes meeting through the week in homes and halls studying the Bible in a small group and encouraging one another to live for Christ and his glory.

134/365:2010 Wedding Shadowing

049/365:2010 The Manbag

049/365:2010 The Manbag

Today was our first staff meeting since the Rector got back from study leave. This is my trusty Fossil manbag, brown leather, with memories of New York - this was my souvenir from our holiday there last year. Inside is my Bible, my organiser and my planners and papers.

As well as my 'Presbyterian blue' shirt and clerical collar, I've got my cassock, surplice and preaching scarf. Keeps you warm on a cold morning!

008/365:2010 The Blank (Sermon) Page

Friday morning is normally sermon writing morning, but the challenge is always getting started. The introduction has to be gripping and draw people in. The first words are important, so need careful thought. I'm preaching from 1 Thessalonians 2, so here goes...
